Therapeutic Massage

Deep Tissue Massage: This multi-disciplinary type of massage is ideal for individuals with “repetitive use injuries” i.e., computer operators, musicians, factory workers, or those in high stress occupations in which certain muscle groups are overworked.

Neuromuscular Massage: This modality is perfect when combined with sports massage to pinpoint the problem muscle and re-educate it to improve its function. This technique is ideal for both the weekend warrior and the seasoned athlete. The muscle is tested, treated, then stretched. The surrounding muscles are also worked to create a fully dimensional session

Sports Massage: This modality is helpful to anyone wishing to improve performance whether it is at home, work, or school. Using several massage modalities, muscles are fully mobilized, treated for spasms, stresses, adhesions, and then stretched.

Relaxation Massage: This form of massage can incorporate any of the above modalities to focus on decreasing stress. Nothing too dramatic or intense is used that might take away from the calming, soothing nature of this massage.

Swedish Massage: This modality also focuses on relaxation through the use of kneading and stroking the connective tissue to achieve relaxation and peace of mind. Swedish massage is an ideal introduction to massage therapy due to its uninvasive nature.

Manual Lymph Drainage: This light massage focuses on the superficial lymphatic vessels located just beneath the skin. This method helps cleanse the body of toxins and spreads nutrition throughout the system. It also promotes deep relaxation. MLD is ideal for relieving sinusitis, acne, and migraine headaches.

Speak to your therapist to determine which modality is best suited to your goals. Each therapy session is customized to the client’s needs.
